The Hustle and what it means here.
Posted On: 04/27/2008 20:46:24

Why is there such a negative perception of the word hustle? Why do some connect the word hustle with ethnicity or all that is foul? The word hustle offers much more versatility than narrow minded individuals may choose to believe. Well, here, I can assure you that the term or name “The Hustle” is meant to be used as follows:

1. to proceed or work rapidly or energetically: to hustle about putting a business in order. 2. to be aggressive, esp. in business or other financial dealings. 3. to promote or publicize in a lively, vigorous, or aggressive manner: example; an author hustling her new book on the TV talk shows. 4. Informal. a competitive struggle: the hustle to earn a living.

This site was created to help present business opportunities for ALL regardless of ethnicity or background. It was created to help small businesses develop into larger, better structured businesses by the use of the relationships built on this site. Don’t be so eager to judge a book by its cover. Simple minded people that make negative comments about our name will only make us work harder. We will never change our name, or our desire to succeed. We will always be. . .

The term hustle is also intrinsically tied to pop culture, which clearly does not solely encompass any particular ethnic group,

but rather "the daily interactions, needs and desires and cultural  'moments' that make up the everyday lives of the mainstream".

We are in the midst of the largest entrepreneurial surge ever se en. Becoming your own boss has

become the way of the national and international mainstream. Today factors including the economy,

technology...etc make the entrepreneurial path one of the smartest (and most lucrative).

Almost everyone wants to own a business from college students to those over age 65 –

persons from a broad demographic spectrum.  They are signing up for courses in record numbers,

seeking the help of their peers, family and colleagues and adding  to the entrepreneur surge – women,

minorities, immigrants, teenagers, and corporate refugees alike. (Source: CNN Money and Fortune Small Business)

This site is a resource for all those people for all those diff erent types of people, and it seems only

fitting that

the name be one that represents the spirit of the many.  It also probably wouldn't hurt to informally test the name a bit.

That's my afternoon addition.  Back to the grind, ha ha.
